The African Digital Impact Challenge 2025 invites bold entrepreneurs from across Africa to showcase digital solutions tackling key Sustainable Development Goals Quality Education, Economic Growth, and Sustainable Cities.
About the Challenge
The African Digital Impact Challenge (ADIC 2025) is an annual online competition launched by MPM, dedicated to identifying and supporting African startups using technology for social good.
Quality Education (SDG 4)
Innovations that make learning accessible, inclusive, and future-ready.
Examples: e-learning platforms, EdTech tools, AI tutors, digital literacy apps.
Gender Equality (SDG 5)
Digital solutions that promote equal opportunities and empower women and girls.
Examples: platforms for female entrepreneurship, mentorship programs, digital safety tools, inclusive education initiatives.
Economic Growth (SDG 8)
Solutions driving decent jobs, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic inclusion.
Examples: gig platforms, fintech for SMEs, career tech, and upskilling tools.
Sustainable Cities (SDG 11)
Smart, green, and connected solutions improving urban life across Africa.
Examples: waste management tech, mobility solutions, community data platforms.
Eligibility
The African Digital Impact Challenge 2025 is open exclusively to African entrepreneurs and startups with digital solutions that address at least one of our focus SDGs: Quality Education, Economic Growth, Sustainable Cities, or Gender Equality.
To be eligible, applicants must:

Be based in an African country.

Be an individual or a team aged 18–40.

Have a working Minimum Viable Product (MVP) no concept notes, purely theoretical ideas, or early-stage plans are eligible.

Ensure the project directly contributes to at least one of the challenge’s SDGs.

Be committed to actively participating in the digital acceleration program, mentorship sessions, and public voting stage.
Eligible Project Types
We are looking for digital solutions that are already functional (MVP stage) and can create meaningful change aligned with our SDGs. Projects may include, but are not limited to:
Mobile or Web Applications
Apps that solve real-world problems, from education to urban challenges, enabling users to access services, information, or learning opportunities anytime, anywhere.
Platforms for Social Impact
Digital platforms that connect communities, support collaboration, or provide tools for social good, fostering inclusion and empowerment.
Tech-Enabled Services
Innovative services leveraging advanced technology to optimize processes, enhance accessibility, or create new solutions for societal or economic challenges.
